You're here because you've outgrown the version of yourself that got you this far. You can feel there's another level waiting for you to reach. You've tried to get there. Discipline, information, routines, willpower. None of it is moving the needle. Not because you're not capable but because something else is running the show.

There is a program running your life that you didn't build and never agreed to. It got installed before you were old enough to know what was happening.

Maybe your parents fought about money and you grew up believing that financial stress is just how life works. Maybe someone you trusted walked out and you became the kid who handles everything alone. Maybe there was chaos in your life and you figured out quickly that the safest move was to shut your feelings off and just perform. All logic. All output. All grind. Whatever it was, you found a formula that kept you alive. And it worked. Got you money, got you respect, got you out of the trenches. People started looking at you like you had it all figured out.

But a formula built for survival doesn't know how to do anything else but fight to survive.

It doesn't know how to rest. It doesn't know how to enjoy what you built. It doesn't know how to be at peace without scanning for the next threat. You outgrew the situation years ago but you're still stuck in its web mentally and emotionally. So now it just runs on repeat. The same reactions. The same tension. The same heaviness you can't explain. You're carrying the weight of a version of yourself that ended a long time ago and your body hasn't readjusted.

The smartest guys I talk to all hit the same wall. They can solve any problem you put in front of them. Business, logistics, money, systems. Hand them something external and they'll figure it out. But the internal stuff? It owns them. And the reason is simple. The program doesn't announce itself. It disguises itself. You cant fight it because you can't see it. You just think that's how you're naturally wired. Or just a burden of life you must endure the pain of.

You don't question it the same way a fish doesn't question water. It's just the thing you've always been swimming in.

I sit with a guy every week who makes more in a month than his parents ever made in a year. Built something real. And his body still treats money like a threat. Shoulders lock up when a big expense hits. Checks the account when nothing has changed. Hesitates on moves that make perfect logical sense. He's not cheap. He's not dumb. He's a grown man being run by a scared kid who watched his family fall apart over money and now his entire nervous system is controlled by number on a screen. That kid wrote the code. But the grown man today is still running it twenty years later without knowing it's there.

Another example. Life starts going well and then you blow it all up. Business picks up, relationships feel good, health is improving. And instead of riding the wave you start pulling the plug. Pick a fight. Turn cold. Ghost people. Stop doing all the things that were working. Watch it unravel and can't explain why you let it happen. From the outside it looks like self-destruction. It's not.

Your body learned young that good things don't last. That the calm is just the quiet before the storm. So the program torches what's working to drag you back to chaos, because chaos is the only environment your nervous system recognizes as home.

Not weak. Not broken. He's loyal to a version of reality that doesn't exist anymore. And that loyalty is costing him everything.

Now here's the part that keeps all of this locked in place.

The program protects itself.

Right now there's a voice in your head saying "I get it. I agree chase" That voice is the program. It wants you to feel like understanding the concept is the same as handling it. It wants you to nod, close this email, and go back to the same loop tomorrow feeling a little more self-aware but doing absolutely nothing different.

It lets you feel like you're making progress while nothing changes. You read the book. You save the thread. You listen to the podcast at 2am when you should be sleeping. The program will let you feel smart as long as you never actually threaten the system running them.

The matrix is your mind turning against itself. when millions of people are in this state the matrix becomes external. The world we live in today.

I know because I fell for it. I still do at times. I'm human. I literally write about this for a living. I've sat across from hundreds of men and showed them their patterns. And I still spent a full year drowning in my own. Smoking. Numbing. Watching everything I built slowly die while telling myself I just needed a break. I didn't need a break. I needed someone to point at the thing I couldn't see because I was standing on top of it.

You can't read the label from inside the bottle. That's not a limitation of your intelligence. That's just how it works. You need someone outside of it to tell you what they see.

so in the next email be prepared to let me show you a view things about yourself…
